"PlaX," developed through Bioworks’ proprietary research and development, is a next-generation synthetic fiber made from plants that can serve as an alternative to petroleum-based synthetic fibers. By using Bioworks’ exclusive plant-based additives, there’re 3 improvements : heat resisting property, durability and color dyeability .
Compared to polyester, switching to PlaX can reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 70% in the production of filament yarn and by approximately 50% in the production of staple fiber. Bioworks has exhibited PlaX four times at the international textile trade fair “Première Vision Paris” and has been advancing global expansion through collaborations and joint development with international textile manufacturers and brands.
Since 2023, Bioworks has been working with Acegreen Eco-material Technology company to develop scale production for PlaX filament yarn, successfully establishing a stable running system. Now, Bioworks has established its first overseas office in Taiwan. Through partnerships with AceGreen and other Taiwanese textile material companies, Bioworks will gain greater access to global brands—their clients—further accelerating PlaX’s recognition and sales in international markets.
